School Management Structure ► The In School Management Proposals, as set out in the discussion paper, are for consideration to suit the system in the Republic. ► Middle Management Structures, in NI, are different because of AUTONOMY in managing school budgets.

Middle Management Structures in NI ► For areas of responsibility, schools can award Teacher Allowances, based on guidelines provided by the employers, according to the size of a school. ► Boards of Governors can independently decide on the structure of these allowances, based on the needs of the school and school budget.

TEACHER ALLOWANCES ► TA1£1884 ► TA2£3806 ► TA3£6536 ► A Teacher Allowance is based on the workload and scale of the area of responsibility ► Most Primary Schools have either TA1 or TA2 posts, with some larger schools having TA3 posts.
