CLUB PROJECTS FOR 2012 Rotary Life: a four-year leadership training program for high school youth. Dictionary Project: a dictionary for every third grader in San Bernardino (about 6,500). RYLA: a mountain camp leadership training experience for high school youth. Music and Speech Contests: Students compete for cash prizes. Character Education: a vocational award for teaching of character and values in the classroom. Community Grants: cash grants to organizations serving San Bernardino. Oduworo Village: (together with other Rotary clubs in San Bernardino and Riverside counties) a multi-year program to improve the lives of impoverished villagers in the Kumi region of Uganda. PACE: At its core PACE educates girls in India, but its reach extends beyond the classroom to empower and improve their livelihood. Rotary Foundation: member contributions to advance peace, world understanding and alleviate poverty. Polio Plus: Rotary’s signature project to wipe out a crippling disease in our lifetime.
