Consequences I  INTRALINK 3.x related products can´t be “simply” migrated to Windchill 8.0 –incompatible software architecture –more comprehensive environment (PLM)  Future Windchill add-on products must be adequate to shifted conditions –application`s range must fit to a PLM szenario –Windchill profen software architecture  Challenge for software vendors and consultants –familiar with PLM requirements and project risks –long term skills in WEB technology (JAVA, Servlets, RMI, LDAP, http …) –profen knowledge of Windchill standard and customizing components –certified Windchill technique (PTC University)

Consequences II  State-of-the-art iBridge and iCheck will support INTRALINK 3.x environments only.  Most of iBridge and iCheck functionality is provided by Windchill itself  Create viewable format  concept of Workers  Viewing  PDMLink  Output - Integration to ERP Systems  Info*Engine  Input – Integration to other CAD Systems  Workgroup Managers  iVault´s architecture must be split into seperate, independent services to be able to provide add-on functionality …  … Print service for PDMLink, ModelManager, SAP PLM …  … List functions ZIP, ZIP & for ….  … Watermark service for ….  … Format conversion service for …
