5 TH TO 6 TH DIFFERENCES 5 th Grade6 th Grade  Report cards say 1, 2, 3, 4  With one teacher most of the day  Rotating “specials” throughout the week  Cubby or desk to keep your stuff  Limited homework and tests  Report cards say A, B, C, D, F  Move to 4 core classes every day  Go to PE and your elective every day  Lockers with a combination lock (limited locker visits)  Homework each night and tests in all subjects

YOUR TYPICAL DAY  Arrive on campus at 7:45 and report to homeroom (read, work on homework, stay ahead)  GEAR UP – enrichment period  Core 1  Core 2  Elective 1  Lunch  Elective 2  Core 3  Core 4

DRESS CODE BoysGirls  No shirts with inappropriate content  No hats  No sagging pants (no visible undergarments  No tank tops  Shorts must meet “6 inch rule”  No visible undergarments  No shirts that show your stomach  NO LEGGINGS!  If you think it might be borderline, don’t wear it or bring a change of clothes

MIDDLE SCHOOL EXPECTATIONS  Bring your agenda everyday and use it everyday  Take pride in what you do and be responsible for your actions  Turn work in on time  Plan ahead!  Make good choices  Make new friends  Have fun and be excited for a great year
