 What is an ecosystem?  How many different types of ecosystems can you identify?  How do the abiotic and biotic parts of an ecosystem differ?  In what different ways do living and non-living things interact in ecosystems?  How do food, energy, and nutrients move through an ecosystem?  In what ways do natural events and human activities cause changes in ecosystems?

 Can be described by the types of organisms and the conditions found there.  Include abiotic (non-living) and biotic (living) things.  Can be large or small

 With a partner, generate a list of things that all living things must have for survival.
