Aim of the DofE Expedition Section To inspire young people to develop initiative and a sense of adventure and discovery, by planning, training for and completing an adventurous journey as part of a team. Your expedition programme is a progression Attendance at each section is compulsory. Attendance isn’t enough. You need to successfully complete each section.

Cost £350pp + enrolment fee Deposit - £50 due by 11 th December Balance payment - £300 due by 15 th April Payments are non-refundable Insurance is recommended.

Waterproofs Both a waterproof jacket AND trousers are essential They MUST be waterproof! Taped seams – to stop water leaking through Jackets MUST have a hood

Rucksacks Correct size 60 – 65 litres COMFORTABLE

Mobile Phones Yes – for your safety! Fully charged but switched off – only for emergencies In suitable waterproof bag – don’t rely on jacket pockets!
