Course Name: Electromagnetic Theory Course Code: ELE/ECN 12 Aim of Course:  Introduce students to different coordinate systems, concepts of gradient, divergence, curl.  Make them appreciate the Maxwell’s laws of electromagnetics  To enable them to apply laws of electromagnetics in solving equations for plane waves in different media. Instructor Name: Dr Manju K. Chattopadhyay School of Electronics Devi Ahilya University Presentation for Assessment

Assessment Policy & Result Summary Assessment Policy: Mid Term 1 : 15 % Mid Term 2 : 20% Assignment : 05% Final : 60% Result SummaryNo. of Students MSc (Elex)MSc (Elex & Comm) High Grade (B+ & Above)0004 Average (B,C, C+)0504 Low (D,D+)0100 Fail00

Assessment Comments on course contents, design, scope of course, adequacy etc.,  It is a well designed course.  Covers NET and GATE syllabus well.

Assessment Problems faced in Teaching-Learning No major problem.

My Suggestions for Course Changes & Improvement in Teaching-Learning Process 1. Course change is not required. 2.The emphasis was more on numerical oriented problems. This will help students tackle questions in competitive exams like GATE/NET 3. Also, it helps in better concept building 4. Text books were changed so that students have more exposure to multiple answer type questions. 5. Question papers set for assessment were of GATE standard. 6. PPTs used in teaching and other material in soft copy was given to students.

Thank You……….!
