STONE AGE! Emyle Robertson, Haley Taylor, Rosemary Garcia, Alexus Graves.

Stone age It was the earliest period. (1,000,000-3,000 BC) The Stone Age was about two million years ago. It was estimated to be about million years ago. The people of that time used simple stone tools. Some tools were used to cut and pound vegetables and to cut animal meat from their carcasses. This is thought to be the starting point of civilization.

Foods The stone age diet consisted of 65% vegetables, fruits, and nuts. The rest was consisted of 35% lean meat, eggs, wild fowl, fish and shellfish.

Inventions Things invented during this time period were stone tools, cave paintings, and pottery. People also learned how to harvest fire for heating, cooking, and for their protection.

Tools Paleolithic distinguished by the development of stone tools. Flint was used for cutting their tools and their weapons. Balsat and sandstone were used for ground stone tools. Wood, bone, shell, antler, and other materials were widely used as well. Things like sediment and clay were used to make pottery.
