Vocational Education

Je vais vous présenter les résultats du groupe de travail „enseignement professionnel“. I would like to introduce the results from the group on „vocational education“

Nous nous sentons comme tous le monde. Mais nous avons parfois besoin d´aide. We feel like everybody else. But sometimes we need help. (Quote from the Swiss delegation)

RIGHTS We have the right to be respected and not to be discriminated against We have the right to the same opportunities as everyone else, but with the necessary support We have the right to make our own decisions and choices We have the right to live independently Everyone in society needs to be aware of, understand and respect our rights

NEEDS We need to have and interact with friends with and without special needs We need to receive the necessary support to meet our needs No-one´s needs should be ignored We need subjects and skills that are meaningful for us and prepare us for our future life

INCLUSIVE EDUCATION Inclusive education with our peers is best if the conditions are right for us There are different accessibility barriers in education and society for people with different special needs We need information that is useful for us

INCLUSIVE EDUCATION Teachers need: - to be motivated, - to understand our needs, - to be informed about our needs, - good training, - to ask us about what we need

What is good for us is good for all
