Picture day was anything but ALL SMILES for the Chiefs…. It was filled with great plays, great PLAYERS and lots of STARS … Unfortunately not all the STARS were the good kind!!!!!! Final Score Broncos 18CHIEFS Broncos 18CHIEFS 08 Game notes

For the second week in a row our opponents scored during their first possession. After the TD the Broncos attempted a pass for the extra point but were denied!!! The Chiefs answered with a stampede of their own leading off with a hand off from Brandon B to Adam who charged down the sideline and found the endzone for a TD!!! The extra point was an outstanding pass play to Nate, he snagged the ball for 2 points. Chiefs were back on top 6-8…. Both defenses held strong and did not give up!!! There were no further TD’s in the first half. In the second half the Broncos started off with good defense followed by a TD and missed the extra point. The Chiefs started marching down the field with 7 minutes left in the game, Brandon threw a long pass for a first down. James caught a pass and ran for a first down. The Broncos intercepted the ball, stopping the drive.

The Chief defense shutdown the Bronco offense giving US a chance to come back and take the lead. Starting out with 3 minutes left in the game, while running for a first down, Adam collided with a Bronco defender leaving them both on the ground and seeing STARS ! Both players were applauded as they left the field. Being down and needing to score the Chiefs threw a few long passes and missed several TD passes by mere inches!!!! Ultimately the Bronco defense held but the Chiefs didn’t give up. In the Chiefs final attempt to score, Brandon passed to Nate who tipped the ball into the air. James made a fantastic saving catch allowing the drive to continue. Kelsi took a hand off and ran for 7 yards. With less than 2 minutes left in the game the Chiefs needed to score and made their way down the field. A Bronco defender made a great play intercepting the ball and ending the Chiefs day! The Broncos were not done and ran for another TD ending the game at Great heart, guys!!
