Children are provided with a rucksack, waterproof coat, helmet, wellington boots where appropriate, wet suit, buoyancy aid. Children are not forced to do any activity – encouraged

Dormitories We allocate children to dorms. Children are told where they will be on arrival.

Packed Lunch carton of juice fruit crisps biscuit sandwiches (cheese, ham, tuna, egg) All medical/dietary information passed on to Kings and Safe & Sound.

Chores Children are expected to set table, clear table. Will be supervised.

Return Travel 6TH will depart from Kings at APPROXIMATELY 1.00 p.m. and arrive back at school on Monday at APPROXIMATELY 4.00 p.m. TEXT MESSAGE 6SH will depart from Kings at APPROXIMATELY 1.00 p.m. on Thursday. We should arrive back at APPROXIMATELY 4.00 p.m. We will notify school as to the estimated time of arrival. TEXT MESSAGE 6MT will depart APPROXIMATELY 1.00 p.m. on Sunday. We should arrive back at APPROXIMATELY 4.00 p.m. NOTICE

Medication Please ensure that inhalers are full and clearly labelled with your child’s name. Please ensure that any medication is clearly named and has clear instructions as to when it has to be taken. Staff will supervise the children when medicine is taken, as we are not allowed to administer it personally.

If your child develops any medical condition after the consent forms have been filled, please contact school and send any relevant medication.

Before heading off Children are to leave their luggage in the hall on their arrival. Both coaches will depart Shirley Heath at 9.30 a.m. Children will require a packed lunch to eat on arrival. It must be accessible and in their hand luggage. Packed lunches should contain no chocolate, sweets, fizzy drinks or glass containers.

No mobile phones or electronic devices of any description will be allowed. Whilst we allow some sweets/ snacks we would hope that only a sensible amount are brought. Copious amounts of sugary sweets at bedtime is not a good idea!! Please ensure that products DO NOT CONTAIN NUTS.

Chewing gum will not be permitted. Hair gel, wax may not be used as it stains bedding and the equipment used on the activities. No hair spray/aerosols.

Several pairs of trousers T-Shirts Jumpers or fleeces Underwear Indoor shoes or slippers Outdoor shoes x 2 (walking shoes or boots for walking – sturdy trainers will suffice) Nightwear Wash kit & Towel Rucksack or day bag with water bottle Any required medication Spending money – the hostel does have a few sweets and chocolates available to purchase. £5 maximum is recommended.
