Summer Groves STRICTER PENALTIES FOR CELEBRITIES

Because they are able to pay their way out of trouble, celebrities who break the law should not get fewer penalties than the rest of society for committing crimes.

Celebrities should not get special treatment because of who they are.

…be a celebrity!

If a celebrity commits a crime, they should have to pay the price like everyone else has to.

CELEBRITIES TEND TO GET AWAY WITH FEWER PENALTIES WITH ALMOST ANY CRIMES, WHETHER IT IS ALCOHOL, DRUGS, THEFT, OR MURDER

Jeff Hardy pled guilty to drug trafficking Mark Wahlberg was charged with attempted murder at age 16

DO YOU THINK CELEBRITIES GET OFF EASY?

In 2002, a sex tape surfaced featuring R. Kelly and an underage girl. It took more than 6 years to get him into court on charges of child pornography and only took a few hours for the jury to declare him not guilty of all 14 counts. Real Stories…

Snoop Dogg was arrested and put on trial in connection with the death of Philip Woldermariam. Even though Snoop Dogg had been driving the vehicle from which the shooting had commended, Snoop and his bodyguard were acquitted of murder on the grounds of self- defense

Lindsay Lohan stole a necklace worth $2,000 in 2011, which is considered grand theft.

MY STORY My mom is currently incarcerated for being in the wrong place at the wrong time and was in the car with her boyfriend at the time as he was stealing things from another persons house.

If this had been someone famous, they would’ve easily gotten away with no jail time! I’m free!!!

STOP LETTING CELEBRITIES GET AWAY WITH COMMITTING CRIMES!! I’m not saying that celebrities should be punished more than the average person, but I believe that they should stop getting away with committing the same crimes that a “normal” person is serving time for!

No matter who you are, if you commit a crime, you should have to pay the price the same way someone else would if they committed that same crime!

ANY QUESTIONS???
