SIT is equivalent to VSAT with the different of that VSAT can conect one point to another and SIT can connect via DVB-RCS Hub one point to many others. Consist of the following parts: –Outdoor Unit ODU –Ku-Band/Ku-Band Satellite Dish + Feeder + Amplifier with BUC + LNB –Indoor Unit IDU –Modem –IFL coaxial cables General Description

11Hellas-Sat Consortium LtdHellas-Sat S.A Hellas Sat has already purchased the equipment that will be used in the frame of RURAL WINGS project. The broadband satellite modems have been purchased by EMS, Antennas from Andrew/channel master RF equipment HELLAS SAT is ready, if it is asked, to plan the installation of the pilot sites in cooperation with the University of Aegean, immediately. We are ready to offer the service as soon as the Coordinator of the project ask for it.

12Hellas-Sat Consortium LtdHellas-Sat S.A HELLAS SAT will provide the University of Aegean (NC of Greece) a questionnaire to be answered by the responsible person of the pilot site The University of Aegean, need to undertake telephone site surveys to gather basic information about each installation site. Based on the information gathered, HELLAS SAT will schedule the installation of each SIT at the trial user’s premises and perform any pre-installation configuration tasks on the DVB-RCS terminals
