Paneled Non-PMF Provider Tab A new tab, “Paneled Non-PMF Provider”, has been implemented in the CMS NET web based system. This tab allows the county CCS staff to verify the approved panel status for providers required to be paneled but not required to obtain a Medi-Cal provider number. Information regarding the Paneled Non-PMF tab will be forth coming in a future “This Computes!”.

Paneled Non-PMF Provider Tab How to access the Paneled Non-PMF Provider tab In the main menu select the provider link; In the Search Provider screen select the radio button for the Paneled Non PMF Provider; Enter the provider’s name (last name, first name) in the provider name field; Select search

Paneled Non-PMF Provider Tab The provider’s name will appear on the List of Providers screen; Select your provider; The CCS panel status for the provider will appear on the Paneled Non-PMF Provider screen.

Paneled Non-PMF Provider Tab The Paneled Non-PMF provider information is scheduled to be implemented with the February change cycle. The information will be included on the directory of CCS paneled providers located on the CCS website. If you are unable to locate the provider in the Paneled Non-PMF provider tab, please contact the Provider Services Unit for assistance at (916) 322-8702.

Federally Qualified Health Clinics (FQHC) & Rural Health Clinics (RHC) Providers, cont. This Computes! Bulletin #109 contains instructions for issuing SARs to FQHC’s and RHC’s. The information on issuing the SAR will not change; the revision will include instructions on how to access the Paneled Non-PMF tab in the CMS Net web based system. Physicians who are employees of the FQHC or RHC are not required to obtain individual Medi-Cal provider numbers as the FQHC or the RHC will bill for the physicians services. Although the physicians do not require Medi-Cal provider numbers the physicians are required to be CCS paneled. The revised Bulletin #109 will be forth coming in a future “This Computes!”.

Medi-Cal Rendering Providers Medi-Cal Provider Enrollment Branch Rendering Provider Issue. The Medi-Cal Provider Enrollment Branch does not process any updates or change of information applications received from rendering providers. The CMS Branch is aware of the issue and is working with Medi-Cal to implement a system fix.
