OCR AS Applied ICT Business Documents

Big picture

Business letter You are going to produce a business letter. You are to decide on the purpose and the audience of the business letter.

Business Letter Plan Produce Evaluate

Plan Plan the layout and content of the letter (on paper) Use common standards (e.g. layout of a letter)

Produce Use common standards Use a range of software tools Combine different types of data (text / clip art etc) Create the first draft Annotate the first draft Spell check / proof read Correct errors Annotate drafts to show how you developed your document to meet its purpose Top Tips: Automate your work for a higher grade: Create letter head - save documents as a template - use template for creating the letter

Evaluate To evaluate your presentation you should consider: –what is good about it, what worked well; –what is not so good, what did not work; –how well it meets its purpose; –what could be improved if you produced it again; –how you refined your draft copies to meet the purpose more closely. To evaluate your performance you should consider: –what went well; –what went badly; –what you would do differently if you had to do a similar task in future.
