Locust Grove Elementary Title 1 Parent Meeting Ensuring Success for Each Student! August 18, 2011

What does it mean to be a Title 1 School? The federal government has put the Elementary Secondary Education Act (ESEA) in place in an effort to level the playing field in order for all students to be successful. Schools qualify as Title I based on the number of free & reduced lunches served. LGE’s free & Reduced lunch percentage was 64.3%

What can I do to ensure success for my child? Check your child’s agenda each day. Communicate with your child’s teachers regularly. Help your child with his/her homework. Read with your child. Read all information that may come home from the school
