STORYJUMPER AND WEVIDEO By: Victoria Dwyer and Jordan Craig

THIS IS STORY JUMPER

HOW THIS PROGRAM WORKS: This is a website that lets you or your students create, share and even publish a hard copy of a book that they make. Just click on the "create" button. From there, you'll be taken to the StoryCreator tool and from there you can start to get to choosing what you want to put in your book. You start by either picking an already made template or starting from scratch to completely make your own book. From there you can choose props, backgrounds, text and colors to add to your story. Here are step by step instructions on how to make a story:

HOW THIS COULD BE USED IN EDUCATION W 4.3 wants 4th graders to be able to write narratives. These can be written and then turned into a storybook. It allows students to be creative and to create their own book in their own way. It could be good to use with ELL students when teaching them English. It is a great way for students to feel like they are actual authors. It could encourage them to want to write more. It is a great way to display students work. They could create a narrative, informational, or fiction kind of book. Teachers can use our StoryStarter Workbook or their own creative writing lesson plans. The StoryStarter workbook is designed to teach kids the 7-steps to developing a complete story arc in a fun and interactive way.

QUICK OVERVIEW OF WEVIDEO WeVideo is a video editing/creating website that is based in the cloud. All of your work is backed up on the cloud so you never lose it. All you do is drag and drop your videos, choose a theme, pick a style add features such as text and sound easily. You can also download the app on your Iphone or Android to use with videos that you captured on your phone. You can upload your finished video anywhere on the web. Examples: Drive, Facebook, InstaGram or Dropbox. Use WeVideo on all devices - mobile, tablets, laptops, Chromebooks & desktop computers. Students can create from computers both at school and at home. It is used in the classroom today and is ideal for class projects where there is a difference in skills. The interface provides different editing modes that allows students to advance at their own pace based on their experience with video editing.
