Which one will thaw out first juice soda or water?

Hypothesis The reason we are doing this project is To see which liquid soda, orange juice, or water will thaw out the fastest. We think that the water will thaw out first because it is not thick and filled with sugar.

 24 oz water  24 oz orange juice  24 oz of soda  9 cups  1 freezer  Paper  pencil

 Step 1: We have nine cups in all we fill 3 half cups water 3 half cups soda and 3 half cups orange juice.  Step 2: We put them in the freezer.  Step 3: We let them freeze over night.  Step 4: We checked on them to see which one will thaw out first.  Step 5: We timed them to see which one thawed out at what time.  Step 6: The orange juice thawed out first the then the soda thawed out second finally the water thawed out last.  Step 7: The first trial was orange juice the first one thawed at 2:54 The second one thawed out at 3:20 the third one thawed at 3:25.  Step 8: The second trial was water it thawed out at 4:02 the third one thawed out at 4:05.and the second one thawed out at 4:00.  Step 9: The third trial the first one thawed out at 2:40 the second one was thawed out at 3:18 the third one thawed at 3:23.

Our hypothesis was wrong because we thought that water would thaw out first but the orange juice did. If we were to do this project again we would us apple juice, water, and milk.

We would like to thank Mrs.Ledbetter, Mrs.Reeter, for letting us do this prodject also our parents and the judges for there time.
