CENTRO de Estudios Puertorriqueños CENTER FOR PUERTO RICAN STUDIES HISTORY: ●Research Institute was established in1973 and it was also known as the Archives of Puerto Rican Diaspora. ●In1989 it was formally established as The Centro Archives. ●Located at Hunter College Silberman School of Social Work. ●The mission of the Centro Library and Archives is to educate, preserve, and collect historical materials devoted to the Puerto Rican Diapora in the United States.

About VOCES... ●Voces Digital Audio Archive Collection Project was created by graduate students from Pratt Institute’s School of Information and Library Science. ●Students were enrolled in the Projects in Digital Archives Course taught by Prof. Anthony Cocciolo. ●The class was divided into 4 teams: -Metadata -Research & Documentation -Design -Technology ●Centro’s Voces Digital Audio Archive contains four different oral history collections reagarding the Puerto Rican Community Migration experience in the United States.
