ItemsAchievementsCritical points Availability of food grains  Buffer stock is maintained in all 40 (100%) schools.  Food grains delivered at 38 (95%) schools  Food grains was not delivered at 2 (5%) schools Availability of cooking costs  In all sample schools of UT of Dadra and Nagar Haveli received 70% of cooking coast in advance.  Payment of cooking coast was received through bank in all the schools  Remaining amount is not received regularly, i.e. complete cooking coast up July is received in September Availability of cook cum helper  Cooks cum helpers selected through SMC and approved through District Panchayat  All most ST categories cooks cum helper were appointed in all districts  All 100% schools having adequate no. of cook cum helper and they serve the meal.  Waterman appointed in each school  Training / training module was not given to cook cum helper in most of the schools.

ItemsAchievementsCritical points Community Participation  In most of the schools the SMC, Parents super wise/ monitor MDM scheme  159 meetings held in 37 schools SMC members discussed regarding MDM in 48 (30%) meetings in 22 (55%) schools.  Frequency of such supervision was found inadequate  No roster maintained in most of the schools  Some members were aware about quantity and nutrients in MDM Inspection  MDM is inspected by teachers regularly  CRCs visited in all the schools, 34 schools visited by DPO /ADPO officials  No specific remarks made regarding preparation, quantity of food grains and ingredients Impact  All schools reported that MDM helped to improve attendance and social harmony
