Role-play by expanding the previous conversation (A as a TV reporter who interviews B, a celebrity, about his/her attitude to life) 4. Perform your interview to the whole class.

Sample Conversation A: In what kind of situations are you optimistic? B: Almost always. I always believe I’ll do well on a test, meet a new friend at a party, win a lottery… A: Don’t you feel disappointed when it doesn’t happen? B: No, I just believe something good will happen the next day.

Sample Interview A: XXX, thank you for the interview. We know that you have just been promoted to a XXX position. Given the uncertainty in the company, it seems very likely that this job is less secure than your previous job. How would you react if you lost your job? B: A: What are the most important goals in your life? B: A: Well, we’ve probably taken too much of your time. Thanks again for your time/the interview. We wish you good luck on your new post.
