WHAT DOES THE CAREERS AND EMPLOYABILITY SERVICE DO? Student drop in sessions One-to-one careers interviews (for careers guidance to support your decision making) Careers library A range of free careers literature (printed and on-line) – bespoke CES PG booklet “Career Planning Guide for Postgraduate Students and Researchers” Database of job vacancies

WHAT DOES THE CAREERS AND EMPLOYABILITY SERVICE DO? Coordinates and delivers a range of generic careers and employability talks and presentations for all students (including PG) Work with Academic Schools and the Graduate School to support employability activities (employer presentations, running events, delivering workshops and supporting the development of work placements)  Global Skills Award sessions on “career management skills” and “selection centre preparation” (10-20 per annum)  Variety of School specific sessions  CES stand with advisers and CES information at Graduate School induction

WHAT DOES THE CAREERS AND EMPLOYABILITY SERVICE DO? Work with Academic Schools continued:  Organise central employability events (Student Employability Festival, including the Annual Careers & Employability Fair and the Employability Fair at Medway), and the Kent Opportunities Fair. Careers Fair on Tuesday 3 November from – in the Sports Centre (Canterbury campus). Over 120 graduate employers will be present  Employability Festival sessions on a range of topics of interest/relevance to PG students Communicating developments, opportunities and events (use of social media, web site, newsletters etc.) Use the CES website- Kent Experience of Work Framework, on-line Resources, Kent Careers Employability Award on Moodle and the Kent Student Awards
