AMERICAN REVOLUTION

House of Burgesses  The Revolution was strictly occurring in Boston because of all the shipping.  The House of Burgesses met in Virginia.  Patrick Henry delivered his famous quote, “Give me liberty, or give me death.”  He convinced Virginia to join in the cause.

Samuel Adams  Founded the Sons of Liberty  A big leader in the American Revolution

Paul Revere-The Midnight Right  April 18, 1775  700 soldiers marched from Boston to Concord.  Patriot militias had been storing weapons in Concord. The British soldiers were going to destroy their supplies.  Through observation, Paul Revere suspected something was going on, so the colonists hid the supplies.

The Shot Heard Round the World  “At 5 a.m. on April 19, William Diamond began to beat his drum.” This was the warning for the minutemen.  The start of the Revolution.  Liberty Kids Video
