Real- World Problem Faith and 3 of her friends wants to go to the movies, if the tickets cost $7.50 each plus popcorn which cost 3.50 each not including tax, how much will cost for them to go?
Equation The equation to my problem is… y= 11.00x or J(x)=11.00x y=The total cost of the tickets and popcorn X= The number of people
X= independent, y=dependent The independent variable is x which is the number of people. The dependent variable is y which is the total cost of the tickets and popcorn. We know y depends on x So the total cost depends on the number of people.

Domain & Range! The domain of a relationship is the set of permissible x values. Domains can be continuous or discrete. The range of the relationship is the set of permissible y values. My domains are [1,2,3,4] & My ranges are [11.00, 22.00, 33.00, 44.00]
