I. Coniferous Forests A. Climate/defintion 1. Coniferous means cone-bearing do coniferous forests are made of cone- bearing trees 2. Have needle like.
The Coniferous Forest. Coniferous Forest The coniferous forest gets the name coniferous because the main type of vegetation located in it is conifers.

Biome Research By Mikea Sabbie cumberlink.com mashable.com

 Location: Northern Hemisphere  Description: Stretches from Canada, Northern European, to Asia  Soil type: Wet and frozen  Precipitation: Lots and lots of rain, sleet, and snow.  Temp. range: 50 degrees north or 60 degrees north  Climate: Snowy

 Plant species: Cone-bearing evergreen trees, lichen, and mosses  Animal species: Moose, lynx, wolverines, Cooper’s Hawk, wolves, foxes, snowshoe hare, deer, elk, bears, chipmunk, bats, and woodpeckers. nj.gov

 Plant: Coniferous trees are abundant roots long to anchor trees needles long, thin, and waxy. Low sunlight and poor soil keeps plants from growing.  Animal: Thick fur or feathers tom keep warm. Some have sharp claws for climbing trees. The color white is to hide in the snow and the color brown is to hide in the trees.

 Biotic: Many different Bio tics such as moose, lynx, shrew, and etc are some of the animals that live there.  A biotic: Forest of the taiga are so dense that little sunlight penetrates the tree to reach the forest trees, plants, water, and etc. fws.gov

Biodiversity is the variety of life. You see different species on the Earth. When you study biodiversity within a pond ecosystem or neighborhood park on an much smaller scale.

 Biodiversity helps the animals build an safe environment. The animals build one community to sustain the whole habitat for different animals. birdbarrier.com
