Malady Denotation: a sickness Part of Speech: noun (person, place, thing, or idea) The student blames his poor grades on a sleep- related malady. Conscientiousness Denotation: the state of being very careful about doing what you are supposed to do; concerned with doing something correctly Part of Speech: noun (a person, place, thing, or idea) His conscientiousness caused him to return and clean up after the party even though it was not his job to do so.
