New Building – Brain Storming Spaces (Sacha, Deputy Head Boy) Plans for our new school building have been approved. This means that the hard play area and all weather pitch will be out of bounds from October half term. We invite students to put forward ideas for alternative spaces or activities we could use/do at break and lunchtimes. Please let your Buxton Voices rep know your ideas and they will let me know.

This is what Buxton Voices thought of……

New Building – Brain Storming Spaces (Sacha, Deputy Head Boy) Please let us know if you have any more ideas…

House System Update (Tyler, Deputy Head Boy) There is still a little bit of work to do on the House System and we are nearly ready to announce the final structure. The Junior Leadership team have proposed House names that seem to have been well received by staff.

Proposed House Names & Colours (Tyler, Deputy Head Boy) Ghandi ( ) leader of the Indian independence movement in British-ruled India. Employing nonviolent civil disobedience, led India to independence and inspired movements for civil rights and freedom across the world. Alan Turing (1912 –1954) - British pioneering computer scientist, mathematician, logician, cryptanalyst, philosopher, mathematical biologist, and marathon and ultra distance runner. William Shakespeare ( ) English poet and playwright. Marie Curie (1867 – 1934) Chemist and Physicist. A Polish and naturalized-French physicist and chemist who conducted pioneering research on radioactivity. She was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize (Twice). Rosa Parks ( ) Civil Rights activist. Virginia Woolf (1882 – 1941) English writer and one of the foremost modernists of the twentieth century.
