Why file a civil case? People are usually looking for compensation for injuries or damages

Difference between Civil and Criminal? Civil Case- Plaintiff is the person who thinks he has been wronged and brings a case against the wrongdoer (defendant) Criminal Case- Plaintiff is the government acting on behalf of the people to maintain safety and brings a case against the wrongdoer (defendant).
