Monitor/Screen The monitor/screen is the device that displays everything you are doing on the computer. It displays your movies, your Google Search engine, and so much more.

Keyboard The keyboard is a tool that has a panel of keys that is used to type whatever you want. The keys include: the alphabet, numbers from one through nine, including zero, punctuations marks, and other symbols.

Mouse The mouse is a device that is dragged on top of a flat surface in order to move the cursor on the computer. The mouse will also have left and right buttons that you can press when you want to confirm your search.

CPU The CPU (Central Processing Unit) tell the computer what to do by adding and subtracting the binary numbers (0 and 1).

Hard Drive The Hard Drive (RAM a.k.a Random Access Memory) job is to store and recover your data.

Ports The ports are used to insert hard drive and other cables to the computer.

Graphics (Display) Card (a.k.a Video Card) The Video Card is a chip the plays all your media (movies, videos, music, etc). It is recommended that you get the best chip for your computer so that you can see the piece of media clearly.

Motherboard The motherboard is the most important part of the computer. It’s job is to store EVERYTHING. It is the board that holds the most important parts of the computer, such as the: processor, memory, etc. It is like the whole computer itself.

Storage (HDD/SSD) The storage is your long-term memory. It is like the back-up for the memory, which is short-termed. If you didn’t save it into the storage, there is a good chance it won’t be there anymore. An example of a storage is a USB Drive.
