 U.S.A. (2007) ◦ 48% of high school students have had sexual intercourse ◦ 15% of these students have had four or more sex partners ◦ 39% of the high school students did not use condoms

 Texas has an average of 2.59% of teen pregnancies ◦ Lubbock County has a 3.3% average  U.S.A has an average of 12% pregnancies ◦ adolescents aged 15-19

 The Lubbock Independent School District currently has no sex education program in place  Some information about sex is mentioned in health classes ◦ in a abstinence-only-until-marriage approach  These classes fail to mention other information such as safe sex
