Properly using text evidence I think that what will happen to Ishmael is that he will keep wandering from village to village but eventually become a child soldier. This is most likely going to happen because as he says in chapter six, “Some had heard rumors about young boys being forced by rebels to kill their families and maiming civilians. This was one of the consequences of civil war. People stopped trusting each other” (37). _____ _______________________________________
Properly using text evidence I think that what will happen to Ishmael is that he will keep wandering from village to village but eventually become a child soldier. This is most likely going to happen because as he says in chapter six, “Some had heard rumors about young boys being forced by rebels to kill their families and maiming civilians. This was one of the consequences of civil war. People stopped trusting each other” (37). So, it seemed child soldiers were becoming more and more common. It’s only a matter of time before rebels will see that Ishmael is vulnerable and without his family. Eventually, war will steal Ishmael’s goodness and ability to trust others as well.
