The Quick Guide To Mansfield ProTraxx A Step-by-Step Guide to Signing Up for Mansfield PD Activities June 2007

Introduction to Mansfield Public Schools ProTraxx System June 2007 The ProTraxx System is the district’s new method of managing Professional Development opportunities. It is an online system. You will access it from the Internet. You should have been sent an auto- generated username and password for your first time login.

Purpose of the Guide To be sure Mansfield Certified staff can access the new online system. To allow staff to choose a Fall PD activity and a Winter PD activity. To show staff how to retrieve their username and password if forgotten. To show staff how to modify their username and password if they desire.

The ProTraxx Home Page You will find a link to the ProTraxx web page on your building’s main web page. You can also access it by typing the following into your browser: Remember ProTraxx has 2 xx’s in the name

Step 1 - ProTraxx Home from here click the LOGIN button

Step 2 – Login Page

Step 3 – Enter Your User Name and Password, then click Login Here Your username and password was sent to you by from Central Office. There is a way to have it automatically re-sent to you. We will talk about that shortly.

Step 5 – Enrolling for a PD Activity Choose the Activity Class Catalog from the Activity Enrollment Menu pull down menu.

Step 6 – Select a Class by scrolling down the list. There are multiple pages of classes. Click on the >> button at the bottom of each page to see the next page of classes. Remember, you will be choosing ONE Fall activity, and ONE Winter activity. You enroll in one, and then you will repeat the process.

Click on the ENROLL button to enroll in the class. You can click View Details if you need more info on the class (there is a button to enroll or come back to the full catalog if you choose this). If the class is full you will be asked if you want to be placed on a wait list.

Step 7 – Enrollment Management After you enroll you are taken to your Enrollment Management Page. Here you can view past classes, status of your activities and can withdraw from an enrolled course.

Step 8 – Next Class Choice You can return to class catalog to choose your next course by going back to the pull down menu. You will repeat the steps to choose a class for the second session.

Step 9 – Enrollment Confirmation You will get an from Fred Baruzzi confirming your enrollments before 6/20/07. You can return to the Enrollment Management Page at any time to check the status of your activities.

Other Notes The system is available 24/7/365. You can access it anytime. The system works with all common Internet browsers, you should be able to do this from home. The District will roll out more features in the upcoming school year. Your user name and password are important as ProTraxx product will become key to your Professional Development activity records. You do not have to “logout”. Just remember to close your browser and you are out.

Forgotten Passwords The system will send you an with your username and password if you forget them. You just click on the forgotten password link on the login page.

Getting a Password Reminder The system will send your username and password to your Mansfield address if you type it into the form and click send.

Changing Your Username and Password From the Mansfield ProTraxx Home Page (and actually a couple of other pages) there is a link for changing your username and password on the left.

Changing Your Username and Password You will be taken to this page so you can type in your new information. Don’t forget to click UPDATE to make your changes stick.

Changing Your Username and Password Please remember that down the road this will be the place to track and view all of your PD and certification material. Choose usernames and passwords that can keep that information private, but don’t get too clever and lock yourself out. You are free to use your current Mansfield username and password if your choose. You also can just keep the random username and password sent to you.
