What do I know about this topic? Tamils were in government when queen was in control of country Queen gave independence and Sinhalese are in power of Tamils Tamils are now discriminated against They are kept in camps behind fences and massacred by Sinhalese groups Group called Tamil Tigers were established to fight for the fair treatment of the Tamils and individual land for both ethnic groups- looking for land in northern and eastern parts. These two groups have been "fighting" for many years The issue has lasted a very long time- since 1948 when queen gave independence to Sri Lanka Today there is urgent need for justice of the Tamils who were damaged and affected by the civil war. A civil war was fought between Sinhalese and Tamils (started 1983)- Sinhalese were looking to end the Tamil Tigers and succeeded with the end of the war in How do I know it?
