As Seen in A Comedy of Errors Twelfth Night Midsummer Night’s Dream Taming of the Shrew
Mistaken identity plays a huge role in this play and causes all of the mayhem. Antipholus of Syracuse and Ephesus, twin brothers separated at birth, wind up at the same place many years later causing the brother’s spouses, servants and friends to be in confusion thus adding comic entertainment.

In this play the character Viola wears men’s clothing causing her to be confused for her brother Sebastian. Meanwhile, Sebastian is mistaken for a girl, thus heightening the conflict and causing drama and humor to be prevalent.
