Management of substance misuse Focus on prevention or early detcction and intervention Prevention – conditions prohibiting substance/alcohol use, compulsory drug/alcohol tests, liable to recall to hospital or prison if breach conditions Treatment – if dependent use, referral to specialist addiction service
