Alternative Energy Resources. An alternative energy resource is a form of energy that can be replaced in a humans lifetime. We have chosen Geo-thermal Energy as our energy resource.

How does Geo-Thermal Work? Geo-thermal energy uses the heat from beneath the earth to heat the water in your home. When the water is heated it turns to steam and the steam turns a generator that then generates energy for your home.

Advantages of Geo-Thermal Energy. Geo-thermal Energy does not pollute the atmosphere. Requires no fuel to work. The power stations are not very large. Also they produce almost free energy.

Disadvantages of Geo-Thermal Energy. There are not very many places suitable for and Geo-thermal plant. It can “run out of steam” for decades. Also hazardous gases may come up the pipe and are hard to dispose of.

Why it is Better? Geo-thermal may be expensive but after it is installed 51% of your heating becomes FREE! It generates power for many countries (see slide 4) and also more plants are being made (see slide 4). It gives off no pollution and once you have it you have to pay very little for.

Conclusion. Geo-Thermal Energy, is an alternative energy resource which can help you save money, Heating and helps promote and protect the environment from any more pollution and Damage. Also it uses natural heat from the earth meaning it wont run out either.
