5 Alcohol: recommended limits Men: 21 units per week, four units per day, two alcohol-free days a week. Women: 14 units per week, three units per day, two alcohol- free days a week. 1 unit = half pint beer (3-4%), 25ml spirits, 80 ml (small glass) of wine
