Helping Verbs Rap Here’s a little story, I’d like to tell About 23 helping verbs, you know so well. It started way back in history, When those main verbs needed some help you see. Am, are, is, was, were on the way, Be, being, been just came to say, Do, does, did –looking so tight Have, has, had –looking for a fight Sneaking in the back are may, must, and might. Can, could, should, would - what’s the big deal? We’ll end this rap with shall and will.
