Target by End of Junior Year: 15 – 20 Colleges as Possibilities Target by Beginning of Senior Year: “Magic 8” Range of 6 – 10 - to which you will apply across a range of admission selectivity (selectivity is individual not communal). Use Information from your College Visits, College Advising Meetings, Web Sites, College Search Engines (e.g. collegeboard.com “College Quickfinder”) to Refine your College List

START WITH WHAT YOU KNOW:  SELF-KNOWLEDGE Who You Are, What You Love Course/Major Preferences GPA and Rigor Test Scores (PLAN/PSAT/ACT/ SAT/SAT Subject Tests)
