Interjection Ouch! Whoa! Oh no! Awesome! An interjection is a word or phrase used to express EMOTION. Ouch! Whoa! Wow! Oh no! Awesome!

VERBS A verb is a word used to express an action, a condition, or a state of being. There are 3 types of Verbs. Action Verbs Linking Verbs Helping Verbs

Action Verbs An ACTION VERB tells what the subject does. Physical Action: Run, Jump, swim Mental Action: wish, hope, dream

Linking Verbs A LINKING VERB links its subject to a word in the predicate. FORMS OF BE: am, is, are, was, were, be, being, been, have, has, had

Helping Verbs HELPING VERBS help main verbs express action or precise shades of meaning.

Preposition About, above, across, against, among, around… A PREPOSITION is a word that shows a relationship between a noun or a pronoun to other words in the sentence.
