WELCOME SENIOR PARENTS! Agenda for this evening: Graduation Requirements College Application & Admission Applications Recommendations College Entrance Tests CFWV – College Foundation of West Virginia Financial Aid Important dates to remember Question & Answer period

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS 25 credits required 4 units of: English, Math & History 3 or 4 units of Science 1 credit each of: PE, Health, Technology (Computers), Fine Arts 2 credits of the same foreign language if applying to college 4-6 elective credits If a student needs to recover a failed course, they should be enrolled in Credit Recovery!

APPLYING TO COLLEGE OR OTHER POST- SECONDARY SCHOOL What is “college”? Apply NOW! It is not too early! You CAN apply to college without having taken the ACT! Contact the college and speak with an admissions counselor. Each college may have different requirements. Tour the campus. Most colleges have an on-line application.
