All About Me Theme August/September

Letters A is for All About Me M is for Me F is for Family

Writing Prompts My name is ________. I am ____ years old. I go to __________ Elementary School. my teacher’s name is ___________. I am in ____________. I like to __________ at school. Make an acrostic poem using students’ first names.

Centers Create name puzzles and have them available as a center. Have students write their first names, trace with liquid glue, and glue macaroni, beans, popcorn, etc. for a tactile art piece. “Me Soup” – “Me soup. Me soup. It’s time to share me soup. I’ll learn about you, you’ll learn about me. Me soup. Me soup. Me soup. Me soup.” – This is similar to “Me Bags”. Choose a student each week to bring pictures and objects from home that tell about them.
