ASB 222: Buried Cities and Lost Tribes—Archaeology through its most important discoveries: human origins, Pompeii, King Tut, the Holy Land, Southwest Indians, and methods of field archaeology. ASU 101: The ASU Experience— Students will learn ASU's mission as the New American University, entrepreneurial approaches to problem solving, solutions to sustainability challenges, the importance of social embeddedness, examine the concept of academic integrity, the value of engaging in research activities, and learn about taking an interdisciplinary perspective. Requires participation in department- sponsored research or an educationally equivalent alternative activity. SPA 201: Intermediate Spanish—Continuation of fundamentals.
