Quad Delivery System This design uses 4 scoopers to pick up the fries in a circular sweeping motion

Quad Delivery System

AdvantagesDisadvantages Several boxes can be filled at once Fry boxes must be loaded manually Process is clean and fast More than one rotation may be needed Possibility for automation of the rotating arm Points of Interest Current scooper is used so manufacturing cost is reduced System is very safe to use

Sweeping Arm Machine Two sweeping arms push fries into individual containers. Another arm pushes the containers down a ramp.

Sweeping Arm Machine AdvantagesDisadvantages Containers will not be “too full” Requires new box design Several containers can be filled at once Fries could get damaged during sweeping motion Boxes may not get filled completely Points of Interest Potential to introduce Hydraulics Use of gears and pulleys in the system

Tiltomatic The container tilts to throw fries into the fry cartons which can be removed manually.

Tiltomatic AdvantagesDisadvantages Less labor intensive Cannot be used with a single carton Can be used to fill up multiple cartons of various sizes Will not work with few fries Can be automated with a few gears and a single motor Whole new design for container implies higher initial investment Points of Interest Use of Hydraulics

Sliding Ramp Design Fries drop into container and slide down a ramp where it is released into cartons.

Sliding Ramp Design AdvantagesDisadvantages Simple and feasible design Hole can get clogged with fries Few moving parts Excess fries will fall out of carton, and must be manually transferred to container Multiple cartons can be filled at the same time Fry cartons must be manually removed Damaged fries Points of Interest Use of gravity allows for electricity saving potentials Introduction of weight sensors Use of Pneumatics

Conveyor System Fries move up a conveyor belt and deposit into individual containers.

Conveyor System AdvantagesDisadvantages Several containers can be filled at once Fries can get stuck under conveyor belt Ridge design in the ramp will orient fries vertically Difficult to fill boxes with correct amount Points of Interest Ridges used to align fries

Fry Basket System The Fry Basket System is an actuator driven fry delivery system that dispenses large, medium and small French fry portions.

Fry Basket System AdvantagesDisadvantages Different size containers can be filled at once Have to weigh out the amount of fries to dispense Fills boxes with correct amount of fries Cannot fill multiple orders of the same size Points of Interest Use of gravity Vibrating and rotational shaft is used
