Where is Water? Water covers 70% of the Earth’s surface 97% of water is found in ocean (or is salt water and not drinkable!) 2% of water is ice and snow 1% of water is FRESH water (normally found in the ground, rivers, lakes and streams).

Where is Water?

Another look at how water is distributed. -99 percent of all water (oceans, seas, ice, most saline water, and atmospheric water) is not available for our uses. -Of the 1 percent that is usable for humans a lot of it is out of reach.
