LANGUAGES: A BRIDGE ACROSS EUROPE An experience in primary school DIREZIONE DIDATTICA I CIRCOLO SANREMO

This experience refers to young learners of English/French at infant school or primary level and consists of these key points: Early approach to foreign languages Continuity from infant school to primary Exposure to at least one (two when possible) foreign languages Use of target languages in context (focus on motivation and significance) Use of local resources (public library,museum, cultural events)

INFANT SCHOOL: *25 hours per year *class teacher or expert *activities based on storytelling, rhymes, games, songs *strong link with curricular activities (art, music, psicomotricità, « campi di esperienza »

PRIMARY SCHOOL: *Modules of 25 to 50 hours per year *Class teacher *Oral approach *Crosscurricular approach *Vehicular use of target language

USE OF TARGET LANGUAGE IN CONTEXTUALIZED EXPERIENCES :
