Highly emphasized since it is directly and strongly connected with the fate of the people and the country eg: America-----states’ reform1997—2000 GB , Japan—1999, Singapore—2001, Taiwan F. Challenge to China---so big and urgent in need of talents for the fast development G investigation done by a group of experts organized by ME

The FLTRP Textbooks for Senior High Schools in China  Analysis Advantages: 1. Word study is well designed through a way from easy to difficult. eg: recognition---understanding----manipulation ( verbal explanation or picture illustration, then meaning group, and then sentence presentation) 2. New way of presenting grammatical rules 3. Rich topics and materials + emphasis of reading skills 4. Obvious features of task-based teaching methods 5. Four skills well integrated.

What we can benefit from NSE  A good platform to foster and present students’ competence  A good platform to promote the development of students’ individuality  A good way for students to have autonomy developed, cooperative study improved and research study moving on  A good way for students to establish the spirit of humanity

Some Issues Important for Teachers  Purposes of mild arrangement of teaching contents in senior grade one  What we should pay attention to before the “tough” arrangement of teaching contents in senior grade two  How to design your English class teaching

Thanks a lot! Best wishes to you all!
