EUROPEAN WARFARE AGAINST FOREIGN INVADERS CENTURIES BEFORE THE DISCOVERY OF THE NEW WORLD, EUROPE HAD FOUGHT AGAINST INVASIONS FROM: ASIAN MONGOLS MUSLIM ARABS MUSLIM TURKS MUSLIM MOORS FROM AFRICA THIS CONSTANT WARFARE CAUSED MANY EUROPEANS TO HAVE FEELINGS OF HATE, FEAR AND DISTRUST TOWARDS NON-WHITE, NON-CHRISTIAN PEOPLE

II. MATERIAL CULTURE NATIVE AMERICANS MADE CLOTHES, WEAPONS, HOMES ETC. FROM MATERIALS FOUND IN NATURE EUROPEANS HAD ADVANCED TECHNOLOGIES THAT PRODUCED GUNS, CLOTH, IRON TOOLS & UTENSILS ETC. NATIVE AMERICANS WANTED EUROPEAN GOODS MANY EUROPEANS VIEW NATIVE AMERICANS AS PRIMITIVE, SAVAGE, BARBARIC

III. RELIGION NATIVE AMERICANS HAD MANY GODS/SPIRITS & CEREMONIES EUROPEANS WERE CHRISTIANS WHO BELIEVED IN ONE GOD SOME NATIVE AMERICANS ADOPTED PARTS OF CHRISTIANITY WHILE OTHERS BELIEVED RELIGION WAS A PERSONAL MATTER MANY EUROPEANS VIEWED NATIVE AMERICANS AS HEATHENS; AGENTS OF THE DEVIL

LAND & LAND OWNERSHIP NATIVE AMERICANS BELIEVED LAND WAS A GIFT GREATER THAN MAN; NO MAN COULD CLAIM TO OWN IT TO EUROPEANS A MAN’S STATUS WAS DETERMINED BY LAND OWNERSHIP; LAND WAS WEALTH NATIVE AMERICANS COULD NEVER UNDERSTAND CONCEPT OF LAND OWNERSHIP EUROPEANS BELIEVED NATIVE AMERICANS DID NOT USE THE LAND PROPERLY; BELIEVED THE NATIVES HAD NO RIGHT TO THE LAND

V. EUROPEAN ACTION/POLICY OVER TIME THE MAIN EUROPEAN & LATER AMERICAN POLICY WILL BE TO REMOVE OR DESTROY NATIVE AMERICAN NATIONS
