SQMS MEASURES Review Updates

44 Updates to 2016 SQMS HEDIS Updates Added four new measures: –Non-Recommended PSA-Based Screening in Older Men –Use of Multiple Concurrent Antipsychotics in Children and Adolescents –Metabolic Monitoring for Children and Adolescents on Antipsychotics –Use of First-Line Psychosocial Care for Children and Adolescents on Antipsychotics Removed two measures: –Glaucoma screening for older adults –Cholesterol management for patients with cardiovascular conditions

55 Changes to CMS process measures Two measures retired 1.Surgery Patients with Perioperative Temperature Mgmt. (SCIP-Inf-10) 2.Surgery patients with recommended venous thromboembolism prophylaxis ordered (SCIP-VTE-1) Seven measures are now voluntarily reported 1.Prophylactic antibiotic within 1-hour of incision (SCIP-Inf-1a) 2.Prophylactic antibiotic selection for surgical patients (SCIP-Inf-2a) 3.Catheter Removed on Post-op Day 1 or 2 (SCIP-Inf-9) 4.Initial antibiotic selection for community-acquired pneumonia (PN 6) 5.Aspirin prescribed at discharge for AMI (AMI 2) 6.Primary PCI received within 90 minutes of hospital arrival (AMI 8a) 7.Statin Prescribed at Discharge (AMI 10) Updates to 2016 SQMS
