WASC Interim Report Update on Major Concerns and Initiatives

Process Due on June 30, 2009 Must respond to concerns listed in the Commission Letter May also discuss other factors affecting the campus WASC Commission may accept the report, ask for additional information, request another interim report, or recommend a site visit.

Major Concern: No Strategic Plan Explanation of Issue  History of P&R  View on Centralization vs. Decentralization Action taken by campus – the Academic Master Plan  Demonstration of Shared Governance Future Plans – to integrate division plans into University Strategic Plan

Major Concern: GE Assessment Explanation of Issue  Campus responded to previous concerns with Synthesis Courses and GE Assessment Plan Action taken by campus – New GE Assessment Plan Future Plans –  Development of Goals/Outcomes  Timeline for continued implementation
